1. INT LUKE’S LOBSTER – EVENING

An empty small restaurant, three wooden tables on the left, right of the room and two stands in the middle. The windows  are covered in handprints and a lot of dust all over. Each table was left over plates or napkins, ROBIN a 32 Black Female is picking up the plates and napkins.

ROBIN

Hey Jayson! Is your break over?

2. INT. LUKE”S LOBSTER BASEMENT – EVENING

JAYSON a black 18 year male with bluetooth earbuds, wearing a black cap, blue luke’s lobster t-shirt, black jeans and gray shoes. He’s sitting down on a plastic table. He’s watching a CHARLES D KING inspiration video on his phone.

CHARLES D KING

(Staring at the Camera)

Look I was just like you, working with an underwhelming paid job, people treat me like crap but look at me now. I’m the CEO of my own company! Not someone else but me.

Jayson holding to this note pad that reads: Ideas of film ideas! Dream world film! Go tonight at 4:00pm for the Library writing workshop. Pitch your film idea! Jayson holds a pencil on right hand tightly. He looks at the time now on his phone and it reads: 2:30pm.

CHARLES D KING (V.O)

So don’t be afraid to take the next step.

Jayson’s smiles out of realization.

  JAYSON (V.O)

That’s it I just need to.

             ROBIN

Jayson!

 JAYSON

Oh, Sorry about that I was in watching-

ROBIN

I don’t care what you are doing, just come up the stairs and help me.

2. INT. LUKE’S LOBSTER KITCHEN – DISHWASHER – EVENING

JAYSON(V.O)

Ok, today is the day I just have to go in 30 mins and I finally get to share my film.

3. INT. LIBRARY WRITING SPACE – EVENING

This is filled with all types of adults, even teens. They all are clapping their hands to Jayson as he speaks on his film pitch. There’s like 8 tables with 7 chairs in the left of the room. While the rest of the room is specifically by the wall, there is a line of bookshelves by the white wall. In front of these bookshelves see a sunflower mat on the floor.

                         JAYSON

Thank you everybody, it’s a cool idea and worth billions of dollars!

                         ROBIN

Jayson what the hell you’re doing!

4. INT. LUKE’S LOBSTER KITCHEN – DISHWASHER – EVENING

Jayson slaps out of his dream world.

JAYSON

Sorry.

ROBIN

This is the 10th time you’ve been dreaming…do you   see the new customers that are coming.

Jayson goes to check and see nobody.

JAYSON

There’s nobody there.

ROBIN

I don’t give a fuck, ok! Not like I actually have responsibilities at my house.

    JAYSON

(grabs all the plates put them in dishwasher)

I understand but it’s 2:50pm and I have to go.

   ROBIN

Hell no, If I can’t leave early so can’t you.

JAYSON

But we talked yesterday and you said I can leave early.

ROBIN

That was yesterday, Today I’m going to need you here working. Do I make myself clear!?

JAYSON

No,no,no! You don’t understand, if I don’t go to this workshop…It will be the end of my dream.

ROBIN
(sarcastic)

Hahahahaha! You really think that…you believe you’re gonna be some hotshot. Hahahahaha. Kids like you underestimate the world. No matter how hard you try there will always be somebody who’s better so, instead of that go back counter and ring up the guest.

Jayson’s eyes are involved in tears but quickly swipe his eyes and proceed to walk slowly to counter.

    JAYSON

She’s right, no matter what I do I’ll never have my work shown to the world.

               (Stops walking)

Hold second, in the video he said…to…“don’t be afraid to take the next step.

ROBIN

Jayson, Stop daydreaming and go to your post.

JAYSON

              (Turns to Robin)

You know what Robin…No! It doesn’t matter what you say because I can care less if I become a famous writer. Because all I care about is writing cool stories and using my literacy to expersed myself or the topic.

Jayson walks out of the kitchen to the entrance’s door.

ROBIN

           Foolish boy.

Jayson opens it, looks at Robin and nods his head and proceeds to the right of the street.

THE END
